JOHN PARIS RITES HELD AT GERVAIS
Gervais - Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Presbyterian church for John Samuel Paris who passed away at the Deaconess hospital in Salem Friday. Rev. R. Grafiotts officiated at the services and interment was in Belle Passi cemetery.
John Paris was born near Butteville, Oregon in 1858. In 1872 the family moved to a tract of land one mile south of Gervais and they have resided within the bounds of Marion county ever since.
He leaves one sister and two brothers, Loretta J. Walker, Lincoln and Herman Paris.

Son of William E. Parris and Sarah Long. John was Malvina's 3rd husband. They married in 1914. John and Malvina did not have any children together. John's three brothers William Elmer, Lincoln and William Herman are buried in this cemetery. If anyone has anything they can add please let me know.
