Jim Price married Miss Esther Akers on 13 March 1904 in Young County, Texas.

Services for J.L. "Jim" Price were held at the Eliasville Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Roden, the pastor. The Eliasville Masonic Lodge was in charge of graveside services.

Mr. Price moved to Eliasville, Texas in 1897. He joined the Baptist Church in 12902 and had been ordained a deacon for years. He became a member of the Masonic Lodge in 1915 and at the time of his death, was District Deputy Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Texas. He had long been prominent in Masonic Lodge activities.

His life had been spent in and around Eliasville and for the past years, had lived in town. He was a farmer and rancher of this area and was well known throughout Young County.

Survived by two daughters - Mrs. Ethel Lee Clayton and Mrs. Lila Mae Lamar; one son - Wilson Price; three sisters - Mrs. I.H. Ardis, Mrs. Lina Filgo, Mrs. P.P. Pratt; one brother - J.E. Price.

One son preceded him in death. Mr. Price was the brother of Mrs. E.L. Rainey, who passed away last week at Eliasville. The services were delayed two days so the children might have time to return to Eliasville.
