Elizbeth (Beam) Wink, 95, of 45 E. Second St., widow of Ross E. Wink, died at 6:30 a.m. today in the Waynesboro Hospital. She had been in failing health for several weeks and was critically ill since being admitted to the hospital on Thursday. Mrs. Wink was born in Aberdeen, Scotland on Jan. 5, 1885, a daughter of the late Alexandria and Gordon (Mathenson) Hall. She moved to Canada when she and her first husband George R. Beam, were married in 1910. The family moved to Emmitsburg in 1915 and had lived in Waynesboro since the early 1920s. Her first husband died in 1930. For a number of years, she worked as a private-duty practical nurse in the Waynesboro area. She and her second husband, Ross E. Wink, were married in 1941. He died in 1970. Mrs. Wink had lived on East Second Street for the past nine years. She was a member of the Fairview Avenue Brethren in Christ Church.
She is survived by a daughter and two sons, Mrs. Jane Mowen, at home; Lucien H. Beam, Wayne Heights, and George R. Beam, Battle Creek, Mich.
Also surviving are three step-children, Gerald Wink, Baltimore; Mrs. Dorothy Loy, Malvern, and Robert Wink, Shady Grove; seven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, nine great-­grandchildren, a number of step-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Katherine Musmus, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Fairview Avenue Brethren in Christ Church, with the Rev. Lynn Thrush and the Rev. Virgil Books officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Grove Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
