Florence E. "Boots" Carney, 81, of Monticello, died Sept. 20, 2009, at McComb Extended Care.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 tonight at Sauls Valley Baptist Church in Monticello and 9 a.m. Tuesday until services there at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Sauls Family Cemetery in Monticello. Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

She was born Aug. 26, 1928, in Mississippi to Winnfield Scott Sauls and Mattie Peavey Sauls. She was a homemaker and a member of Sauls Valley Baptist Church.

Mrs. Carney was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom E. Carney; two brothers, Jimmy and Pat Sauls; and two sisters, Laura Givens and Doris Barker.

Survivors include two sons, Tommy and Ronnie Carney, both of Monticello; one daughter, Donna Carney of McComb; three brothers, Buddy Sauls of Ruth, Billy Sauls of Monticello and Glynn Sauls of Byram; one sister, Dorothy Martin of Beaumont, Texas; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
