Mrs. Harriett Winnie Hill, pioneer resident of Stephens County died at the family home in Eliasville. Mrs. Hill had lived in Stephens county for 52 years. She married on 12 August 1879 in Stephens County, Texas and had she lived until 12 August, she would have celebrated her golden wedding anniversary. A half century of loving devotion to her family and kindly ministration among her neighbors has won for her a place that cannot be erased in the hearts of the community in which she lived. She was 14 years old at the time of her wedding.
Surviving: husband - S.H. Hill; 10 children; 19 grand-children; 3 great-grandchildren.
