Charles J. Engstrom's son, Andy, aged about 14 years, came very near being drowned last Sunday. A number of boys were in Wilson's mill pond bathing and Andy, not being able to swim, got into deep water without attracting the attention of any of the crowd except his young brother, who called some of the other boys from across the pond. When help arrived, the boy was under the water for the third time. Young Grosvener dived down and brought the now completely exhausted body of Andy Engstrom to the surface, and with other help he was taken ashore. The boys went to work the best they knew to restore their companion to life, but it was fully five minutes before he breathed, and a good deal longer before he recovered consciousness. At last accounts he was in a fair way to recover.
