Catherine 'Rena' Elizabeth Smith was born February 20th, 1903, the last child of Jacob Smith and Mary Josephine Robinson.
She married at age just over 16 to Temple M Allen who was about 20 years older than she was. They had 2 children - Julia Frances and Temple M Allen, Jr. Mr. Allen died in January 1933.
In 1938, Rena met and married Murray Brazel Varker of NC.
Rena was a kind and loving mother, always thinking about her children before herself.
I still miss them both - along with my half brother, and half-sister - Temple Allen, Jr and Julia Frances Allen Parson.
