Mrs Christina Baca Gomez died Thursday in a Barstow hospital following a brief illness. She was 42. A native of Magdalena, NM, she had resided in Barstow the past 19 years and 20 years in California. She resided at 36682 Leona St, Barstow.
Survivors are the husband, Epimineo Gomez of the Barstow home; one son, Robert L Gomez of Barstow; five daughters, the Misses Lucy, Bernice, Eleaner, Roseann and Diana Gomez, all of Barstow; six brothers, Julia Baca of New Mexico, Steve Baca of Colorado, and Lester, George, Daniel and Albert Baca, all of Barstow; ten sisters, Mrs Patricia F Baca of New Mexico, Mrs Rosalina Vallejos of Los Angeles, and the Mmes Domie Lovato, Alice Castillo, Yela Rodriguez, Christella Salas, Carmen Cordova, Virginia Jaramillo, Rosela Serafin and Lorraine Weaver, all of Barstow; and her parents; Mr and Mrs Casimiro Baca of Barstow.
Rosary will be recited for her Sunday evening at 8 pm in O'Donnell's Funeral Home chapel. High requiem mass will be celebrated Monday at 9 am in St Joseph's Catholic Church, with the Rev Patrick Fox officiating.
Burial will follow in Mt View Cemetery, Barstow.
