Mrs. B. W. Cotterman
Alger, May 6 - Mrs. B. W. Cotterman, 38, died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Hospital, Lima, where she had been a medical patient since April 5. Mrs. Cotterman had been ill in health for the last five months. She formerly had lived in Ohio City but had made her home in Alger for five years. During that time she was superintendent of the Alger school.
Mrs. Cotterman had always been active in civil affairs. She was a member of the Eastern Star of Ohio City and a past matron of that organization. An active church worker Mrs. Cotterman was treasurer of the Alger Methodist Episcopal church, president of the Ladies Aid society and a teacher in the primary department. She was active in P.T.A. work and in the activities of the Scioto Garden club.
Funerla services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Alger M. E. church by the Rev. Ralph Tucker, pastor. Burial will be in Alger cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, two sons, five daughters, one brother and her parents. The sons are Kent and Mack, both at home, the sisters, Mrs. John Vannatta, Mrs. Dale McAffferty and Mrs. Wayne Wright, all of Ada; Mrs. Laverne Magley, of Delaware, O., and Mrs. Henry Koontz, of Bluffton. The brother is Russell of Bluffton, and her parents are Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Elsey, of Ada.
