Hezekiah Mason, s. of Lieut. Daniel Mason and his first wife Margaret Denison, b. May 3, 1677 at Stonington, Conn. He d. of record at Windham, Conn. Dec. 15, 1726, Æ 50. Hezekiah was the grandson of Maj. John Mason of Pequot War fame and his second wife Ann Peck.

On June 7, 1699 at Windham, Conn., Hezekiah m. 1) Ann Bingham, dau. of Thomas Bingham and Mary Rudd, b. in Aug. 1677 (day not stated) at Norwich, Conn. She d. of record at Windham, Conn. Aug. 2, 1724, Æ 47. They had nine children all recorded at Windham, Conn.

On Nov. 15, 1725 at Windham, Hezekiah m. 2) Sarah Robinson, dau. of Peter Robinson by his first wife Mary Manter, b. May 5, 1688 at Tisbury on Martha's Vineyard (Dukes County, Mass.). She purportedly d. circa 1754 at Windham. There were no children of this marriage.

The children of Hezekiah Mason and Ann Bingham are:

• i. Rachel Mason, b. Apr. 12, 1701, d. two days later on Apr. 14, 1701.

• ii. Hannah Mason, b. June 14, 1702; was living unmarried in 1738, but no further record available.

• iii. Anna Mason, b. circa 1704, d. Nov. 9, 1788 at Mansfield, Conn.; m. Ens. Thomas Dimmick (q.v. Dimock), s. of Capt. Thomas Dimmick (q.v.) and Desire Sturgis. He d. at Cuba in 1741 in the King's Service. Ten children of the family.

• iv. Mary Mason, a twin, b. Aug. 31, 1707; m. June 30, 1725 at Windham, David Huntington, s. of Dea. Joseph Huntington and Rebecca Adgate, b. Dec. 6, 1697 at Windham. He d. in Sept. 1771. Seven children of the family.

• v. Rachel Mason, a twin, b. Aug. 31, 1707; m. Oct. 3, 1727 at Windham, Charles Mudge, who d. at Windham Feb. 11, 1778. Four known children of the family.

• vi. (poss.) Daniel Mason, b. circa 1709; d. after Nov. 24, 1731.

• vii. Jonathan Mason, b. July 30, 1715; m. Hannah Parson(s) at Windham Dec. 7, 1737. At least two children of the family.

• viii. Abigail Mason, b. circa 1718; m. Apr. 28, 1736 at Windham, Jacob Lincoln, s. of Samuel Lincoln and Elizabeth Jacobs, b. May 10, 1696 at Windham. He d. circa 1765. Nine children of the family.

• ix. Lydia Mason, bp. June 5, 1720 at Mansfield (Ch. Rec.) where she d. in her youth Oct. 7, 1727.

Inscription

Although no actual gravestone has ever been documented, Hezekiah was undoubtedly interred two years after the death of his 1st wife Ann, the mother of all his children, at the same cemetery as her known interment - Windham Center.
