AGED HEADLEE MAN CALLED BY DEATH
MONTICELLO--Baker J. Hale, 96, a resident of Headlee, near here, died at his home at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.
Born January 21, 1861, in Hancock, Ohio, he was the son of Thomas and Mary Bowman Hale.
Married twice, his first wife preceded him in death. Two children from the first marriage survive. They are Mrs. Delta Harris, of Eaton Rapids, Michigan, and Myron E., of Royal Center.
Also surviving are the widow; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; two half-brothers, Cliff and John, both of Fostoria, Ohio; a half-sister, Mrs. Etta Bunnell, also of Fostoria.
A retired painter, he had lived in the Headlee community for 41 years, and was a member of the Pike Creek Church of the Brethren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the White Oaks church, with burial in the Indian Creek cemetery.
Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home here, after 3 o'clock Friday afternoon.
