MYRON HALE DIES AT 68

ROYAL CENTER--Myron (Elgie) Hale, 68, rural route Royal Center, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday at the Miami Nursing Home in Peru.

A retired farmer, he was a member of the Baptist Christian Church and the Royal Center Masonic Lodge.

Born July 19, 1898, in Roann, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Baker J. Hale. His first marriage was to Bessie J. McCloud, who preceded him in death. He later was married to Flora Swartzel, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Marion, Royal Center; his step-mother, Mrs. Margaret Hale, Mexico; six stepsons and two grandchildren.

Services at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Harrison Garden Chapel in Royal Center. The Rev. Alva Ward will officiate and burial will be in the Pro Cemetery.

Friends my call after 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
