OBITUARY.
Mrs. Elvera Kent was born near Salem, Nebraska, in Washington (Richardson) county, July 27, 1872, and died at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Longberg living northeast of Goff, September 9, 1909.
She came here recently from Oklahoma on a visit. She leaves a husband and one daughter besides other friends and relatives to mourn her loss. The deceased died of consumption. Funeral services held at the Johnstone school house were well attended and conducted by the writer, after which the remains were tenderly laid to rest in the Barnes cemetery. -F. J. SCHAFER.

Mrs. Elvera Kent died at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Longberg, north of Goff, September 9, 1909 at the age of thirty-eight years. Her death was due to consumption. She was on a visit, her home being in Oklahoma. Funeral services were held at the Johnstone school house conducted by Rev. F. J. Schafer and the body was laid to rest in the Barnes cemetery.
