Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Becker Chapel in Effingham, KS, with the Rev. Tim Ahlgren, officiating. Burial will follow in the Muscotah Cemetery, Muscotah, KS. Evelyn was born June 8, 1914 in Trego County, KS, the daughter of Harry and Nellie (Shell) Bell. She lived in the Larkinburg Community until she was united in marriage to Martin Ray on November 13, 1937 in Holton. They made their home in the Muscotah Community.
She worked at the Horton & Holton Garment Company until she retired after twenty years. She was a member of the Larkinburg Christian Church and life member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers, and one sister.
Survivors include a son, John and wife, Elizabeth Ray, Muscotah; daughter, Marilyn and husband, Paul Dresch, El Dorado Springs; brother, Ralph Bell, Oroville, CA; grandchildren, Tina (James) Torkelson, Robinson, Tammy (Duane) Sinclair, Everest, Troy (Brenda) Dresch, Kansas City, MO, Tracy (Debbie) Dresch, Independence, MO, Terri Dresch, El Dorado Springs; twelve great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren.
