Audra was born in Lagrange County, Indiana but her parents are not known. She was then placed with foster parents Edward and Lucy (Wagoner) Crampton as an 8 year old in November, 1909. The Crampton's lived on a farm north of Shipshewana just west of the Town of Scott. Audra was the 1st wife of Clarence E. Miller and they were married in Shipshewana, Indiana by Rev. Manor on Monday, September 4, 1922. She then bore him 3 daughters and died of heart problems at age 25.
