Peter left Haycock Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania and moved to New Jersey. An early land sale from 1810, lists Peter Amey and his wife living in Greenwich Township, Sussex(Now Warren County), NJ. Peter ended up purchasing what was known as the Home Farm, which my grandfather,William Amey, Peter's great grandson, last farmed before retiring and selling the homestead.

Peter's last will, leaves the farm on which he now lives, to his son, David, my 2X great grandfather, which contained about 150 acres. He also bequeathed David, all his horses, cattle, shop and hogs excepting two cows to his wife, Sarah. David inherited all his farming utensils necessary for farming purposes. These bequeaths were made to David in lieu of services after he arrived to the age of twenty one. Peter appointed his sons, Holloway, John & David executors of his last will & testament.

In his son, David's obituary, the following was listed: He(David) was a lifelong resident of Harmony, of which his father was a prominent citizen.

Peter and his brother, John were the executors of their father, George's estate in Bucks County.
