AGED WOMAN DIES NEAR BURNSVILLE
Miss Martha Ann Talkington, 90, Leaves Nephews and Nieces, Rites Saturday at Alert
Miss Martha Ann Talkington, 90, passed away at 2 p.m. Thursday at the home of her nephew, Bert Talkington, near Burnsville and will be buried Saturday in Mt. Olivet, cemetery following the funeral to be held in the Christian Union church in Alert at 2 p.m., the Rev. John C. Nicholson, of Westport, officiating.
The deceased was a daughter of Jesse and Catherine Talkington and was born near Alert Aug. 29, 1847. She has always been near Alert, Grammar and Burnsville and was widely known. She belonged to the Alert Christian Union church. Several nephews and nieces survive.
