Virgil N. Woolfolk was the youngest of the nine children born. He remained on the family farm after his father passed away to look after his mother until her death. Because of his kindness and devotion, Virgil was given one-half of the farm at his mother's death. He lived on that land and raised his six children there. The funeral for Virgil N. Woolfolk, 75, was held at the Assembly of God church in Newcastle. He and Frances Briscoe were married at Graham in 1925. A retired farmer, Woolfolk had lived at Newcastle all of his life until moving to Olney in 1959.

Survivors: his wife; son - V.N. Woolfolk, Jr.; three daughters - Mrs. Curtis Richardson, Mrs. Melvin Helton, and Miss Louise Woolfolk; brother - Arch Woolfolk; sister - Mrs. R.J. Johnson; eight grandchildren.
