Dorothy Elizabeth Adcock, 85, a loving mother and devoted grandmother, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, Sept. 15, 2008.
Graveside service: 1 p.m. Thursday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Dorothy was born as Dorothy Elizabeth Thorn on May 27, 1923, in Marshalltown, Iowa, and had resided in Texas since 1947. She retired from Houston General Insurance Co. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church of Weatherford.
Survivors: Daughters, Judy Hembree and husband, Grover, and Nancy Robinson; sons, Donald Garvey and wife, Barbara, Raymond Garvey and wife, Dolores, and Larry Garvey; six stepchildren; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
