OBITUARY:
Russell E. Prinkey, 88, of Normalville, Star Route, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 1995, in LaFayette Manor, Uniontown. He was born Feb. 15, 1907, in Normalville, a son of the late George Washington and Missouri White Prinkey. He was a timber worker in his earlier years and was employed by the R.S. Altman Feed Store in Scottdale. He retired from Dulls Feed Store in Connellsville. He was a member of the Normalville Rod and Gun Club. He was a member of the Normalville Community Church, where he was a Sunday School teacher. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Jesse W. (Dorothy) Ridgway of Connellsville; seven sons, Eugene Prinkey and his wife, Edna, and Robert Prinkey and his wife, Loretta, all of Connellsville, Ronald Prinkey and his wife, Regina of Brook Park, Ohio, Raymond Prinkey and his wife, Janet of Melcroft, William Prinkey and his wife, Betty of North Huntingdon, Alfred Prinkey and his wife, Pamela of Acme, and Clifford Prinkey and his wife, Nancy of Normalville; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elsie Prinkey, Helen Prinkey and Mrs. Elmer (Mary) Snyder, all of Normalville; and two brothers, Charles Prinkey of New Kensington and Harry Prinkey of Normalville. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Rosella Firestone Prinkey, Jan. 2, 1986; a grandson, Richard Prinkey; three half-brothers, Lloyd, Elmer and Marshall Prinkey; and three half-sisters, Ida Blanche Imel, Nora Pritts and Lena Brooks. Friends will be received at the CLYDE BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, Route 711 at Melcroft, from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Dennis Arndt officiating. Interment will follow in Normalville Cemetery.
