Elmer C. Prinkey
Elmer C. Prinkey, 74, of Normalville, died at 6:08 p.m. Tuesday in Connellsville State General Hospital where he was a patient since Dec. 22.
He was born Aug. 9, 1889, at Normalville, a son of the late George and Rebecca Shaffer Prinkey and spent his entire life in Springfield Township. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Mill Run Grange, and Normalville Methodist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ida Grace Pritts Prinkey; three sons, John E. of Connellsville, and Kenneth W. and George V. of Normalville; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lena Brooks of Connellsville; three half brothers, Charles Prinkey of New Kensington and Russell and Harry of Normalville, and four half sisters, Mrs. J. H. (Blanch) Imel, Elsie Prinkey, Helen Prinkey, and Mrs. Elmer (Mary) Snyder of Normalville, R.D. 1. He was preceeded in death by a daughter, Mary Helen, in 1926.
Mr. and Mrs. Prinkey celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in June of 1961.
