MONTEZUMA - Mr. Conrad Robert 'Connie" Detamore, 88, of Montezuma, Georgia, passed away Sunday evening, August 7, 2005 at Flint River Community Hospital in Montezuma, Georgia. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2005 in the chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home at 11A.M. Rev. Ralph Price will officiate. Burial will follow in Andersonville National Cemetery. -Visitation will be Tuesday evening, August 9 from 6:30 until 8:30 P.M. at the funeral home. -Born on December 10, 1916 in Ruckersville, Virginia, he was the son of the late Henry Detamore and Guilia Gilbert Detamore. Mr. Detamore worked 29 years with Dorsey's Machine Shop in Montezuma before retirement. He was a member of Cedar Valley Baptist Church, President of the local Rawls Hogg VFW Post 6442 and a World War II Army Veteran. -Survivors include his wife, Dorothy K. Detamore of Montezuma; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles (Kathy) Detamore of Montezuma and Robert (Sheila) Detamore of Barnesville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley (Billy) Price of Oglethorpe and Nichole (Gene) Hardage of Ideal; one brother, Oscar Detamore of Floresville, TX; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
