Mary Frances Ryan, 87, of rural Canton, died Sunday, February 2, 1997, in blessing Hospital, Quincy, Ill. Born Dec 24, 1909, near Canton, she was a daughter of William J and Fannie Long Logsdon. She married William Ryan, May 29, 1935, at St Patrick. He survives. Mrs. Ryan attended St Patrick School at St Patrick and worked with her husband as a clerk and cashier for sales and for the Kahoka Sales company for many years. She was a member of Shrine of St Patrick Catholic Church at St Patrick. Survivors also include one son, Ronald Ryan of St Patrick; one daughter, Mary Lou Brennan of Hannibal; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb 4 at 10 a.m. in the Shrine of St Patrick Catholic Church at St Patrick with Rev. Michael Murphy officiating. Arrangements were handled by Davis Funeral Home in Canton. Music was by Mrs Ellen Krueger, Cindy Wolbrink and Jason Richmond. Pallbearers were Pat Ryan, Matt Ryan, Chris Ryan, John Brennan, Alan Ludwick, Darrell Roseberry and Jeff Viehmeyer. Interment was in St Patrick Cemetery at St Patrick. Memorials may be made to Wulfner Library for the Blind, Wulfmer Services for the Blind or St Patrick Cemetery.
