Anna Mae Richardson, 70, of Lewistown, died August 14, 1997, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois. Born May 20, 1927 near Canton, she was a daughter of John William and Mary Ethel Baker Clark. She married Roy J. Richardson March 5, 1949, at Monticello. He preceded her in death Dec. 19, 1971. Mrs. Richardson had worked as a cook at Highland High School, Ewing, and Culver-Stockton College food service at Canton, which she retired from in 1987. She had also worked as a bookkeeper at the Lewistown Bank at Lewistown, Johnston John Deere Imp. Co., at Lewistown, and Prairie View Rest Home, Lewistown, as Nurses Aide and at Lewis County Extension office at Monticello. She was a graduate of Canton R-V High School, member of Park United Methodist Church, Lewistown, Lewistown Garden Club, American Legion Post 578 Auxiliary, Lewistown, and United Methodist Women. Survivors include two sons, Roy John Richardson, Richmond, and David Lee Richardson, Lewistown; two daughters, Mary Sue Earlywine, Lewistown, and Teresa Ann Haire of Liberty, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Daniel Thomas and Matthew Aaron Earlywine, Jonelle Lee Richardson, Kristin Ann Richardson, Andrea Jean Earlywine, Elizabeth Ann Haire, and Nicole Diane Richardson; two brothers, J. W. Clark of Canton, and George Ronald Clark of Anderson, S. C.; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 18, at 11 a.m., at Park United Methodist Church in Lewistown, with the Rev. S. Milton Wood officiating. Arrangements were handled by the Davis Funeral Home in Canton.
