SALEM, Ind. – Mr. Morris Cauble, 79, of Westville, died Thursday, June 27, 2002, at 8:45 a.m. at Life Care Center in Valparaiso.

He was born Feb. 12, 1923, in Salem, to Claude W. and Martha (Morris) Cauble, and had lived in Westville since 1966, coming from Salem.

Mr. Cauble retired as a member of the Bricklayers Union Local 6 of Indiana. He attended the First Christian Church of Salem, was a member of the Valparaiso Moose Lodge 1357 and Westville American Legion Post 21, and was a life member of the Salem VFW. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving as an electrician's mate 1st class.

On Oct. 6, 1950, he married Mary Ann Floyd, who survives.

Also surviving is one son, Troy of Colts Neck, N.J.

He was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.

The funeral was Sunday at Dawalt Funeral Home in Salem with Rev. Robert Holler officiating. Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem with full military honors.
