Ralph Eugene Baker, age 70, Birnamwood, died March 16, 1963 at Langlade Memorial Hospital, Antigo.

He was born March 24, 1892 in the town of Hutchins, the son of the late Volney and Alice (Ballard) Baker.

Ralph was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during World War I.

On November 18, 1928 Ralph was united in marriage to Polly Rew in Mattoon. She survives.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Cora (Earl) Hilbrand and Eunice (Glenn) Ludke, all of Green Bay; three sons, Paul Baker, Washington, Leonard Baker, town of Hutchins and Steven Baker, Schofield; 13 grandchildren and one brother, Irvin Baker, Mattoon.

Funeral services were held March 19, 1963 at the Nazarene Church, Mattoon. The Rev. James Thornton officiated. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, town of Hutchins.
