ROCKTON - Mildred I. "Peg" Garry, 83, of Rockton, died Friday, May 18, 2001, in Fair Oaks Health Care, South Beloit. Born March 25, 1918, in Higbee, Mo., daughter of John and Tula Bagby. Married David L. Davenport on Jan. 18, 1936, in Beloit he died in December 1973. She married Thomas Garry on Nov. 18, 1975, in Rockton. Mildred was a homemaker. She enjoyed golf, bowling, camping and fishing. Survivors include husband, Thomas sons, David J. (Jane) Davenport of Rockford, Michael L. (Nancy) Davenport and Jerrold D. (Sue) Davenport, both of Rockton eight grandchildren numerous great-grandchildren son-in-law, David D. Gums of South Beloit nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Also predeceased by parents daughter, Carolee L. Gums and sister, Geraldine Danielson.
Services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, in Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, Wis., with the Rev. David Meding of Central Christian Church officiating. Burial in Rockton Cemetery. Visitation from 10 a.m. to service time Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Alzheimer's Association. 5-21-2
