The year of his death varies on legal documents...1866, 1868 & 1869 and some documents give December and others list June 10th. The month and day of death is listed as June 10 on the tombstone application which was requested 100 years after his death. Based on the date of Hiram's Probate records....
"Sarah E Parrish, who being duly sworn, says, that Hiram H Parrish, late of said county, departed this life, in said county, on the 10th day of Dec 1868.."
and his wife's Pension Application for the Indian War Service, I have entered his death as 10 Dec 1868.

Lowndes County GA was formed in 1825 so Hiram was born in the parent county of Irwin. When his wife gave info for her Widow's Pension App, she stated Hiram was born in Lowndes County.

To all whom these presents shall come- Greeting:
Whereas, Hiram Parish, late of this county, deceased, died intestate, having while he lived and at the time of his death divers goods, chattels and credits, within the County aforesaid, by means whereof the full disposition and power of granting the administration of all and singular the goods, chattels and credits, of the deceased, and also a final dismission from the same, to the County Judge aforesaid, does of right belong.

NOW, KNOW YE, That I, W A McLean, County Judge for the County aforesaid, desiring that the goods, chattels and credits of said deceased, may be well and truly administered, and legally disposed of, do hereby grant unto Sarah E. Parish as administratrix, full power by the tenor of these presents to administer the goods, chattels and credits of said deceased, which to him in his life-time and at the time of his death did belong, and to ask, demand, sue for, recover and receive the same, and to pay the debts in which the deceased stood bound, so far as the assets will extend, according to law, and then the balance to pay over to the legal heirs and distributees of said deceased. And the said Sarah E. Parish, having given bond and security, and taken the oath and performed all other requisites required by law, necessary to her just qualifications, as such administatrix, is, by order of this Court, and by virtue of these presents ordained, constituted and appointed Administratrix of all goods, chattels and credits of the said Hiram Parish, deceased.

Vols., personally came before me, a Justice of the Peace, in and for the aforesaid County and State, Archie Peterson, who I certify, is a respectable and credible person, and who being duly sworn, declares in relation to the aforesaid claim as follows: That he was present at the death of Hiram Parish who died DEC. 10TH A.D. 1868 and that he assisted in preparing his grave and that he is now 64 years of age and also that he has been personally acquainted with the widow of deceased since death of same and that she has never remarried this Affidavit was written in my presence and from my oral statement made by me on this 26th day of August 1893 in the County of Duval state of Florida to Robert Parish by whom this statement was written and I was not aid or prompted by any prepared statement. he further declares that his post office address is Marietta, County of Duval, State of Florida, and that he is not interested in said claim or concerned in its prosecution.
