Huxford's Pioneers of Wiregrass GA Vol 3 p 253-4; bio of William Parrish 1826-1864, states William was born in Lowndes, GA in 1826, and died at his home Berrien, GA in Apr 1864. He was a son of Henry Parrish and Nancy Williams served as Tax Collector of Berrien, GA 1857-1858, and he served as a Judge of Berrien Inferior Court 1863 until his death in 1864. William married Rebecca DeVane 1831-Apr 1859, and William married Martha Gaskins Connell [widow of Thomas K Connell] on 17 Feb 1864. William died six weeks later [abt the later part of Mar]. William Parrish, and his wife, Rebecca, were buried in Lois Cem in Berrien GA. His brother, Ezekiel W and Absalom, were the administrators of his estate.
Note: Lois Cem is now known as Pleasant Cem. Neither William nor Rebecca's sites are marked. Huxford usually posted CSA info in the biographies of his subjects. Since Huxford does not list any CSA service, I think probably the subject did not serve.
