Luona (Cookson) Willette 85, of Albion Maine, died Saturday, June 5, 2004 at a Waterville Maine nursing facility. She was born in Albion, on January 21, 1919, the daughter of Silas and Lizzie Mae (Dow) Cookson of Albion. She attended Albion schools, graduating from Besse High School in 1937. She was predeceased by husband Norman O Willette SR whom she married on September 6, 1937.
She was also predeceased by her beloved son Claude Willette, one grandson William (Billy) Willette, two sisters Dora Blasidell of Albion, and Elsie Wilson of Windsor, and a brother John Cookson of Albion.
She is survived by her children Norris Willette of Winslow Maine, Lynda Bolduc and husband Hector of Albion, Ernest Willette and wife Carlene of Fairfield Maine, Elizabeth Whitman and husband Robert of Winslow, Jean Nawfel and husband Kenneth of China Maine, Norman Willette Jr. and wife Debra of Winslow, Lawrence Willette and wife Candice of Bainbridge, Ohio, Jerry Willette and wife Debbie of Milbury, Mass, Jon Willette and wife Sandra of Thorndike Maine. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
She is also survived by her two brothers Robert Cookson and wife Gloria of Brooks Maine, and Mayo Cookson and wife Edith of Albion; three sisters: Faye Pottle of Benton Maine, Beverly Webber of Eliot, and Shirley Ellis of Oakland Maine and a sister-in-law Dot Cookson of Albion.
