Mrs. Lorena R. Dunlap, 78, of 20632 Roycroft Drive, died at 6 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was a former security guard for the Studebaker Corp. She was born July 16, 1903, in Plymouth, and lived in the area since 1944, coming from Culver. On Oct. 28, 1947, in Americus, Ga., she married Harold E. (Dunnie) Dunlap, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Roger (Kara) Hendrickson of Kenton, Ohio; two sons, Robert W. Murphy of Fort Wayne, and Ben L. Murphy of Nappanee; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Downen, Evansville, and Mrs. Mary Verkouille, Punta Gorda, Fla.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Guisinger Colonial Chapel. Rev. Roy Herbster, pastor of Lakeville Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. She was a member of Centre Twp. Fireman's Auxiliary, the Lakeville Chapter of the Eastern Star and member of the church. Memorial contributions can be to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
