LAVINA M. WALKER
SENECA, Kan.- Lavina M. Gartin Walker, 92, Seneca, died Wednesday, March 4, 1992 at the hospital here.

For over 35 years Mrs. Walker was a telephone operator in Seneca for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. retiring in 1957.

Born on the family farm near Gower, Mo. she attended school there. In 1916 she moved to Seneca.

Mrs. Walker was a member of the United Methodist Church at Seneca, United Methodist Women of the church, Seneca Senior Citizens and Telephone Pioneers of America.

She was married to Harry Walker. They later divorced.

Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by three brothers, Monte, Floyd and Clyde Gartin.

Surviving: a son, Embert of Universal, Texas, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Service: 1:30 a.m. Sat., Lauer Funeral Home, Seneca. Burial Seneca City Cemetery. Family visitation 7-8 Friday at the funeral home.
