Born in New Berlin March 29th, 1922; Graduated from Holy Apostles Grade School June 1935. Entered St. Francis Seminary in fall of 1935; B.A. 1945. Ordained a priest at St. John Cathedral by Archbishop Kiley, June 8th, 1946. Loaned to the Diocese of Duluth as assistant at Blessed Sacrament Parish, Hibbing, Minnesota from 1946 to 1948. Graduate studies at the Appolinaris Canon Law School, Lateran University, Rome, Italy from 1948 to 1951. Received Doctorate in Canon Law upon completion of his studies. Fullbright Scholarship from our State Department in Washington in Field of Civil Law 1950-1951 at Rome University. Honorary Degree from Tiberina Academy, Rome in 1950. Curate at St. John Cathedral 1951; at the same time assigned to Chancery Office Staff as Notary and Assistant Chancellor. Chaplain at St. Mary's Convent and Home for Aged Ladies on January 6, 1955. On June 26th, 1956 appointed vice Chancellor. Papal Chamberlain - 1960; Domestic Prelate 1966 (rank of monsignor). Member of Bishop Henni assembly of Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and present Frair. Member of Pere Marquette Council 524 of Knights of Columbus and former chaplain; Past State Chaplain of the Wisconsin Jurisdiction of Knights of Columbus. Member of Catholic Order of Foresters; Catholic Knights. Member of the Elks; Member of St. Jospeh Benevolent Society. Member of former Family court Advisory Committee. Archbishop's Delegate in Separation and Divorce cases in 1956. Secretary of Archdiocesan Building Commission since January, 1965. Vicar for Religious since 1955. Rector of St. John Cathedral September 30, 1969. Appointed to Board of Consultors of Archdiocese of Milwaukee in March of 1975. Member of the board of St. Joseph's Home and Propagation of the Faith. Chairman Board of St. Coletta's School, Jefferson. Member of Board of Directors of Archdiocese of Milwaukee; also St. Francis School of Pastoral Ministry. Board of Trustees Alverno College 1974. Member of Wisconsin Catholic Conference since 1972. Chairman of the Sister Fabian - Woody Herman Scholarship Fund. Received the Eagles Home and Family National Award for 1974. Chaplain for the 440th Air Force Reserve. Elected Director and National Spiritual Director of the Catholic Knights in September of 1976. Pastor of Christ King Church, Wauwatosa, July of 1978. Member of the Executive Board of the National Conference of Vicars for Religious and National Treasurer of the Conference for the past six years. President of the Milwaukee Archdiocesan Priest Senate, 1981 - 1982. Msgr passed away on June 27, 1990 at West Allis Memorial Hospital in West Allis, Milwaukee Wisconsin.
