James Blair was born the 3rd of October 1892 in St. George Utah to Francis Albert Blair and Louisa Booth Blair. Jim grew up in the St. George area learning at a young age the importance of hard work. He did many things to get by, whether it be farming, building, hauling, or working as a mechanic. It was when he was on a job hauling into southern Nevada where he met his sweetheart, Selina (Neta) Randall. They were married in Eagle Valley (now Ursine) Nevada on December 20th 1916. After they were married they moved to Southern California where they stayed a while and then moved back to Utah County, Utah. Jim tried farming on several farms throughout the years as well as working for Orem City.

Later they moved to Layton Utah and Jim started working for Hill AFB. It was while they were here that Jim died 20 September 1957.
