Selina Ernitta Randall Blair was born July 2, 1896 in Eagle Valley (now Ursine) Nevada to Susan Lillies Hammond and Ernest Randall. Her father left the family when Neta was very young. She was raised in her grandparent's (John Egbert Hammond and Selina Walker Hammond) house until she married. She was raised understanding the purpose of hard work. It was while she was working as a domestic for a family in Pioche Nevada, that she met her Sweetheart, James Blair. They were married December 20, 1916 in Eagle Valley. After they were married they went to live in California for a few years. In 1923 they moved to Utah County, Utah and stayed in the Orem/Provo area for a number of years, raising their 5 boys on several different farms. They later moved to Layton, Utah where Jim died in 1957. After Jim died, Neta had another house built in Layton and she lived there until the day she died, July 17, 1973.
