Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby V. Bricker, 87 will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Stackus Funeral Home in Boyne City. Rev. Ray Grienke of the Boyne City United Methodist Church will officiate and interment will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Bricker died Tuesday at Meadowbrook Medical care facility at Bellaire.
She was born Ruby Calkins on Dec. 13, 1888 in South Lyons, Michigan. She moved to Northern Michigan when she was six years old and except for winters when she lived in Florida, she has lived all her life in the Boyne City area.
On May 14, 1910 she was married to Melvin Bricker in Chestonia. He precded her in death on Aug. 9, 1957.
Mrs Bricker was a member of the Boyne City United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include four sons; Howard and M.C. both from Boyne City and Bill and Calvin both of East Jordan; 11 grandchildren 15 great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. William (Vera) Young of Holiday, Fla.
