MARTIN SHULTS
SCHENECTADY GAZETTE
SATURDAY, APRIL. 25, 1942

MARTIN SHULTS

FORT PLAIN - Martin Shults, 59, died recently in an Amsterdam hospital. Mr. Shults was born in the town of Palatine, Aug. 26. 1882, the son of Martin and Mary Snell Shults, and had spent his entire life in this vicinity. He was a farmer and also conducted a sand and gravel pit on the River Road just west of the village of Fort Plain. He is survived by his wife, the former Marie Fonda; three sons; Manly, of Stone Arabia; Martin, Leonard and Charles of Fort Plain; two daughters; Miss Gertrude Shults and Miss Margaret Shults, who live at home; several grandchildren; three brothers, Arthur Shults of Fort Plain, Harry and Earl Shults of Palatine Bridge; one. half brother, Ezra Shults, Fort Plain; three sisters, Mrs. Charles Bauder, Mrs. Reuben Empie and Miss Lelah Shults, all of Fort Plain, and one half slsler, Mrs. Byron Christman, Fort Plain. The funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Gray Funeral Home with Rev. E. R. Kruizenga, pastor of the Fort Plain Reformed Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Fort Plain Cemetery.
