For several months she had been a great sufferer, but through it all she never complained, only praying that she might be relieved by death. She requested the friends who ministered to her wants to pray that the Lord might take her from this suffering world.
She was preceded to the grave four years by her husband. During her widowhood and illness she was tendely cared for by her brother-in-law, Mr. Peter J. Keyser. For many years she had been a communicant of the Big Spring Old School Baptist church and when able to to her seat was never vacant. Her sufferings are now at an end, and she is now enjoying sweet community with loved ones gone before, in the church triumphant.
She leaves one sister - Mrs. Bettie Vanmeter, of Clarke County and three brothers: Captain A. H. Keyser and Mr. Harvey Keyser, both of Honeyville, this county and Mr. Daniel Keyser of Johnson county, Mo. Her funeral was conducted by her pastor, Elder John K. Booton, of Luray, who preached an excellent sermon to a large congregations of sorrowing relatives and friends from Romans 8th chap., 18-21-vs.;
After which she was laid to rest in the family grave yard to await the trump of God calling her to judgment. We commend the sorrowing ones to the God in whom she so implicitly trusted.
