She loved animals and always had a dog or bird to love. When she "crossed the river" to join her parents, Mabel's budgie Corky was at her bedside. Mabel passed on the memories of a lifetime to the next generations just as her father had done. She could speak of the old days without condemning the present time. She is much missed by her family.
