HUGH CHITTICK DIES

Mr. Hugh Chittick, Sr., one of Englewood's oldest residents, died at his home, 6932 Princeton ave., Monday, and was buried at Mt. Greenwood yesterday. Mr. Chittick was 78 years of age, and came to Chicago over 50 years ago, and had a truck farm at 63rd St. and Ashland ave., years ago, and was quite prominent in old Town of Lake politics.

He was one of the charter members of Englewood Lodge, No. 690, A.F. & A.M., and that lodge conducted his services in the Masonic Temple at 6734 Wentworth ave. Mr. Chittick leaves a family of grown men and women, all of whom are comfortably circumstanced and occupy honorable positions in the community.

He was an honorable, upright man, pronounced in his views, never neutral and, as the writer can testify, when a friend, he remained one, through thick and thin. Mr. Chittick will be mourned by a host of friends, who extend their sympathy to his family.
