Annabelle V. NIXON, 87, died at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday at Harbor Manor Nursing Home, Noblesville.
Born in Rochester, to Clem and Rose BOWEN MILLER, she married William "Al" NIXON April 25, 1939, in South Bend. He died March 16, 1994.
Mrs. Nixon worked at the City Clerk's office of Rochester and was a bookkeeper at Schemberger Music Store, Plymouth. She retired from the Indiana State Highway Department. She moved to Plymouth, from Rochester, in 1950 and moved to Noblesville in 1999. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Karla MITCHELL, Noblesville; one son, Bill [NIXON] and wife Sibyl, Lake Wales, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald MILLER, Columbia City; one sister-in-law, Mable DAULTON, Rochester.
Preceding in death with her husband were her parents and two brothers, Russ and Virgil [MILLER].
Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 W. Madison St., Plymouth, with Rev. Charles KRIEG officiating. Burial will be at Rochester IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 425 N. Michigan St., No. 308, South Bend, IN 46601.
