David was a blacksmith by trade. He worked and traveled with the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show.
His granddaughter, Darlene Fisk Boardman, traveled with her husband, Loy, to Scenic in the early 1980's to find his burial place. His grave was unmarked. They made a simple headstone for his grave.
