Greeley G. Mauzy was born December 8, 1849, the son of William C. and Elizabeth Caroline Caldwell Mauzy.
He was engaged in the dry goods business with his father for several years and when the W. C. Mauzy store and the A. G. Mauzy firm consolidated into the Mauzy Company, he continued as an active part of the business. He retired from the business and later was an invalid for nine years, dying on his birthday in 1912.
He left his wife Lydia Wolfe Mauzy who he married on May 23, 1870 and daughters, Mrs. Harrie Jones of Rushville and Mrs. Anna Moore of Findlay, Ohio.
