Neednam Edis Stacy, 59, of Kents Ridge Road, Richlands,
died at his home, Saturday morning, March 15, following a long illness.
Born at Drill, he was a son of Elijah F. Stacy of Richlands and the late Zella Jan Whitt Stacy. A lifelong resident of Tazewell County, he was employed by the Southwest Virginia Tire Company at Richlands.
Survivors, in addition to his father, include his wife, Mrs. Margaret Helton Stacy; two daughters, Mrs. Ron (Janice)Shortridge of Falls Church, Miss Nancy Stacy of Arlington; two brothers, Fearl W. Stacy of Arlington, TX, Fayne E. Stacy of Richlands; two granddaughters.
Funeral services were held Monday at Tazewell County Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Charles Willard officiating. Burial followed in the Hankins Cemetery at Richlands. Pallbearers: Tommy Keen, Jr., Sherill Mash, Hugh Dye, Jim Boyd, Frank Steele, Steve Wingo, Eddie Davis and Ira Horn. Honorary pallbearers: Tommy Keen, Sr., William Fulton, Howard Stanton, Dr. Dave Stanton, Don Morgan, Don Jackson, Dr. W. R. Strader, C. A. Whitehead, Arthur Trent, Jack Hamm, James Steed, and Oakley Woods.
