Walter Thornburg(h) was a Quaker
who believed in the American
cause during the Revolutionary
War, and supplied sundries to
American troops.
He married Mary Baldwin
(1770-1833) 11 OCT 1786, in
Guilford Co, North Carolina
and first moved to Jefferson
County,Tennessee in 1787.
He moved moved his family to
Perry Tp, Wayne Co, Indiana
where he permanently settled.
A special grave dedication was
by by the D.A.R. 10 JUN 1984
in recognition of his support
and contributions to the
American Revolutionary War.
