FALL ON ICE IS FATAL FOR MRS. THOMAS
Mrs. Edna M. Thomas, 69, was fatally injured when she fell Saturday afternoon at 4:45 o'clock while attempting to clear ice from the sidewalk in front of her home in Arendtsville
The Adams County corner, Dr. C. G. Crist, said Mrs. Thomas suffered a fractured skull when she slipped on the icy sidewalk and the back of her head struck the pavement.
An Arendtsville boy, passing on his bicycle, saw Mrs. Thoma had fallen and notified neighbors who carried her into her home. Dr. Crist said the death occurred about ten minutes later.
SERVICES WEDNESDAY.
Widow of Charles Thomas. who died in 1955, she had been a seasonal employe at the C. H. Musselman Co. for many years and retired last November.
A native of the county, she was a daughter of the late George and Addie (Lupp) Culp.
Surviving are a son, Glenn Thomas Baltimore: one grandchild and these brothers ind sisters, Mrs. John Sharrah, Cashtown; Mrs. Eugene Tuckey, Arendtsville; Mrs. John Brough, Bendersville: Mrs. Lela Shinn, Gettysburg R. 3; Frank Culp, Gettysburg R. 4; Merle Culp, Bendersville; Cletus and Arthur Culp, Biglerville R. 1, and Roy Culp, Orrtanna R. 1.
She was a member of the United Church of Christ of Arendtsville.
Funeral services Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Peters Funeral Home, Carlisle St.. with the Rev. Nevin R. Frantz officiating.
Interment in Greenmount Cemetery, Arendtsville.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock.
