"Mrs. A. M. Glasgow, 78, of 809 S. Main Ave., died at her home Friday. She had been ill with cancer for 10 months. Mrs. Glasgow had continued her schedule of home, church and social activities during much of her illness.

Final rites will be held at the Miller Chapel at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Mr. Rodney Gist will conduct the services. Interment will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery.

Eolah Vivian Corbin, descendant of one of the first families of Virginia, was born in Kirksville, Mo. She was graduated from the Kirksville Teacher's College and was married in that city in 1897 to Dr. A. M. Glasgow. The couple lived for one year at Hawarden, Ia., before coming to Sioux Falls in 1899. Mrs. Glasgow had been a resident of this city for the past 59 years.

Mrs. Glasgow was a member of the Methodist Church, a life member of the Women's Society of Christian Service and belonged to the Phileatha. She enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf, and as late as last summer, was a familiar figure on the Elmwood and other area golf courses.

She is survived by her widower; a son, Eugene C. of Silver Spring, Md., and Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Burke Conklin of Whitier, Calif., and Mrs. George A. Henderson of Sterling, Colo.; a brother, Dr. Ernest L. Corbin of Minneapolis; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren." Argus-Leader (Sioux Falls, South Dakota), July 5, 1958
