Mrs. Rita C. Hutcherson, age 71, of Forrest City, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at her home. Mrs. Hutcherson was born March 23, 1929, in Heth, and was the daughter of Russell Chapman and Nevia Melton Chapman. She lived in St. Francis County most of her life and was a housewife. She attended the Valley View Christian Church. Mrs. Hutcherson was married to Dois Hutcherson Sr. in 1957, and he survives her along with three sons, James Cleaver, Dois Hutcherson Jr., both of Forrest City, Don Hutcherson, of Paragould; three brothers, Ray Chapman, of Forrest City, Bill Chapman, of Oklahoma, Carl Chapman, of Little Rock; a sister, Ruby Sherrill of Forrest City; eight grandchiildren and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son, John Cleaver. Funeral services for Mrs. Hutcherson were held Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, at Stevens Funeral Home. Burial followed at Forrest Park Cemetery. Stevens Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
