COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY – 08/08/1989
George A. Adkisson Sr., 65, of 4145 Taylor Blvd., died there Sunday. He was a native of Meade County, a retired truck driver and a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors: his wife, the former Jean Burch; two sons, George A. Jr. and L. H. Adkisson; a daughter, Sheila Litsinger of Waynesboro, Va.; a brother, Glen Adkisson; a sister, Rita Thompson of Brandenburg; and five grandchildren. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Arch L. Heady Southern Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Blvd., with cremation to follow. Visitation from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Expressions of sympathy: Hospice of Louisville.
