Martha, the daughter of Robert James McKee and Ella Ida Jones, married Alonzo Earl Curtis on 25 June 1911 in Sparta, Randolph County, Illinois. Martha and Alonzo had four children, two of whom are Eulelia Fern and Vera Arlene.

Martha died in a local hospital.
